Download this month's BLESSINGS

In Cambodia it is normal for children like Lynda and Eng to drop out of school and take an odd job to help the family. Surviving on an average of $25 USD per month, their parents and grandparents can't afford school fees. In Cambodia it is normal for those living on the city outskirts and rural villages to use the same unsanitary pond water for bathing, cooking and watering the livestock. It's also common for the poor to self-medicate themselves when they and their loved ones are sick.

Operation Blessing sponsored programs are giving Cambodians of all ages the opportunity to lead a healthier and more educated lifestyle by:

  1. Tending The Sick -- In these medical initiatives, we either go to the patients or bring them to us. See how.

    a. Mobile Clinics: Consisting of both medical and dental care, these clinics are conducted in villages throughout the country. We also reach out to the poorer communities by providing free check-ups and medicine. In addition, patients are given basic healthcare education information.

    b. Set a Child Free: Our team organizes surgery to correct cleft lips and palates for infants, children and teens who would otherwise have to endure a lifetime of ridicule and health problems. Local surgeons and hospitals donate their time, talents and operating rooms.

  2. Equipping for Life --Operation Blessing not only helps people in times of crisis, but also assists them overcome forces that keep them in the vicious cycle of poverty.

    a. Living Waters: Impoverished Cambodians living in rural or desolate places do not have access to clean water. Through the Living Water program, individuals can go to the village's newly dug well when they need water for cooking, drinking and cleaning instead of having to depend on the rain. We also teach the community hygienic practices and the importance of sanitation.

    b. Back-To-School: We sponsor boys and girls living in poor households with school fee scholarships through the Back-To-School project and encourage the student's progress throughout the academic year.

Join us in breaking the cycle of suffering around the world. Please give a gift today!

Equipping & Caring for Cambodian Village

The Cambodian farming community of Trah Peang Veng was concerned. A drought had robbed all 180 families of having a good rice crop. They were in danger of food shortages and loosing their only source of income. As a result of the drought, the children’s educations were at risk too.
