Holiday of Hope
Holiday of Hope

This time of year should be filled with love and laughter. It’s a time of giving, celebrating, and thanksgiving – for most of us. But the challenges of life overwhelm others so they have nothing to give – they are barely hanging on.

Each year, Operation Blessing brings joy to the world through the Holiday of Hope program. For example, children living in impoverished households receive toys, holiday meals are served to lonely elderly men and women, and food baskets and presents are given to poor families.

During Holiday of Hope 2004, our partners helped 93,126 lonely people in the United States, and we plan to help even more this year! As you decide on how much to spend during the holidays, consider giving a portion to help a less fortunate mom, dad or child with us this year. Your gift will bring joy to orphans, families, the handicapped and the elderly here in the US and around the world.

Holiday of Hope

Seven: a New York Family's Perfect Number

Christmas morning was filled with squeals of glee as Roberta’s seven children saw presents waiting for them. The middle-aged widow was grateful for our partner the Crisis Pregnancy of New York in Staten Island. Without their listening ears and compassionate hearts her children wouldn’t have had gifts to open. More importantly, her family would have been missing two children.

Spreading Holiday Joy Across Tampa Bay

Christmas is almost here and our holiday program is in full swing across the country! Thanks to our partners’ generosity, tens of thousands of impoverished children and adults have been invited to holiday meals as well as received goodies like holiday groceries and gifts of clothes and toys. Remember, even though the season may almost be over, you have the opportunity to make a year-end gift that can keep on giving.

Hungry Families Receive Food in Time for Thanksgiving

Earlier this fall, players and mascots from the Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens and Washington Redskins as well as corporate sponsors joined us in showing they cared by helping to feed an estimated 12,000 hungry fans. People like Grandma Kay appreciated the generosity.
