Dr. Kim April C. Pascual became the Executive Vice President and Chief
Operating Officer for Operation Blessing International Philippines
in 1999. As a practicing family physician, “Dr. Kim” came on
board as a volunteer medical consultant in 1995 and was promoted to director
of medical missions in 1997. Utilizing her extensive medical background,
Dr. Kim has led countless missions to rebel-infested areas in the Philippines
as well as extended emergency medical trips to Iraq, Afghanistan and most
recently Sri Lanka and Indonesia after the Asian tsunami. She has also launched
additional humanitarian aid initiatives in Indonesia and Thailand.
Dr. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of the
Philippines in Los Banos. She continued her education at the University
of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center College of Medicine
where she earned her Doctor of Medicine in 1986.
In addition to eight years practicing medicine and serving as a consultant
in various capacities, Dr. Kim’s previous experience included teaching
histology at the University of the East College of Dentistry. Additionally,
she has owned and managed a bookstore, a convenience store and a realty
business.
Born and raised in Taytay Rizal, Dr. Pascual makes her home with her mother
and adopted daughter.
