    Sakchai Puangjakta

    OBI THAILAND

Sakchai Puangjakta serves as the Assistant Manager of Operation Blessing International Thailand’s outreach center and directs activities that impact about 2,200 Thai residents each month. The center cares for AIDS orphans, digs wells, operates medical clinics and runs disaster relief projects. Sakchai’s responsibilities include budget planning and control, performance evaluation, project planning and organizing, as well as establishing favorable relations with local churches and the community.

Since the Southeast Asia tsunamis in December 2004, much of his work has focused on meeting the immediate needs of the tribal communities across Thailand’s southern provinces.

Previously, Sakchai was a nurse’s assistant at McCormick Hospital in Chiang Mai province, where he was recognized as Employee of the Year Award during his first year on staff. Sakchai’s education took him to Payap University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and later became a coordinator for Support the Children Foundation.

Sakchai’s service in humanitarian projects has opened up opportunities for him to travel to India, Singapore, the Philippines and Cambodia.
