    Liviu Neagoe

    OBI ROMANIA

Liviu Neagoe has served as the outreach director for Operation Blessing in Romania since 1992. Within a year of joining the staff, Liviu launched the East Life Water Company, a micro-enterprise initiative that drills new clean water wells for those living in poor Romanian communities.

In May 2001, Liviu opened the first of several soup kitchens that now feed more than 100 elderly Romanians every day. However, much of Liviu’s work is dedicated to addressing the needs of children. OBI’s Bless-A-Child and Back-To-School programs provide food, clothing, toys, medical care and educational supplies to these underprivileged children.

Having grown up in a Communist society with limited opportunities, Liviu spends summers training and showing Romania’s new generation of youth and young adults the many career choices they can choose from in their now free country.

Previously, Liviu worked as an electrician. He completed high-school in Timisoara, Romania, and later hadtraining in welding, electronics, hydrology, and attended seminary for three years. He was instrumental in starting two new church plants in Romania. Liviu is married to Mary for the past 25 years and has three children, Marius, Anca, and David.
