    Jose Angel

    Manager, International Health Programs

    Jose Angel joined Operation Blessing International in 2007. Based out of El Salvador, Jose works alongside each of the national teams to provide his expertise in health research, program design, best practices and impact studies. He assists the international programs department in developing overall health program goals and campaigns and also conducts audits of Gifts-In-Kind medicine for distributions.

    Jose is from El Salvador and has a Ph.D. in medicine from the National University of El Salvlador. He specialized in general surgery and has received further training in public health and survery assessment at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He also holds an MBA from Eastern University in Philadelphia as well as an executive management diploma in business administration from Central America Institute in Costa Rica. He is fluent in Spanish but also speaks some English and French.

    Before working with OBI, Jose spent seven years with World Vision as their chief health strategist/consultant and was also their director for fundraising and project services for Central America. Jose has also started his own medical outreach, Angels in Action, serving the poor in El Salvador. He and his wife also serve as board members for My Father’s House Orphanage in San Salvador.

    Jose lives with his wife, Consuelo, and their three children.
