What is Operation Blessing?
Operation Blessing International Relief and Development Corporation (OBI) is a
non-profit 501 (c) (3) humanitarian organization based in Virginia Beach, Virginia,
USA that is dedicated to alleviating human need and suffering in the United States
and around the world.
When did Operation Blessing begin?
Founded in 1978, OBI provides hunger relief, medical care, disaster relief, and
education to help develop healthy, self-sustaining communities, families and individuals.

the world?
Since 1978, Operation Blessing International has touched the lives of more than 193.1 million
people in 96 countries and all 50 states, providing goods and services valued at more than $1.2
billion.

Our local outreach centers offer a variety of assistance programs in their local communities.
Some offer individual emergency assistance, others focus on meeting hunger related needs, still
others work through local churches to best address needs in their local communities. Please
