Operation Blessing International (OBI) is a humanitarian organization dedicated to relieve human suffering. At OBI combats hunger, deprivation and physical affliction with the provision of food, clothing, shelter, medical care and other basic necessities of life. We also help facilitate the development of healthy, vibrant and self-sustaining communities by addressing larger issues of education, food security, potable water, employment, community health, and disaster mitigation projects.

National Volunteer Coordinator - Virginia Beach, VA

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated individual who will coordinate the development, growth and oversight of a National Volunteer Program for U.S. disaster relief.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of non-profit organizational practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of volunteer programs and coordination
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer services
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with staff and public in a positive manner
  • Ability to be flexible and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, Access or similar programs
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member

Procurement Account Manager - Virginia Beach, VA

Operation Blessing International (OBI), an international humanitarian relief and development organization, is seeking a highly-motivated Procurement Account Manager to join their team of passionate professionals! The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate the mission of Operation Blessing to companies with resources that can be used to support global hunger relief, medical, and disaster response programs. This goal-oriented individual will cultivate national corporate accounts through successfully procuring a wide-array of donated products to meet on-going program needs.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven track record in sales and growing/maintaining corporate accounts
  • Innovative “networker” who can motivate and inspire others
  • Excellent oral, written, and corporate-level presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong computer skills with ACT and PowerPoint desirable
  • Ability to travel

Donor Relations Assistant - Virginia Beach, VA

Will provide administrative assistance and support to the Donor Relations department.

Qualifications:

  • Experience providing administrative and clerical support
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter and require minimum supervision
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships
  • Must be able to multi-task, work well under pressure and set and meet deadlines
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office with application emphasis in Word and Excel
  • Proficient in ACT contact database management or comparable software desirable
  • Ability to travel occasionally


Truck Driver - West Coast

Will transport product to and from assigned pick-up and delivery locations. Ensure safe operation of assigned OB tractor and trailer in compliance with Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations (FMCSR). Truck drivers are needed in various locations.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to plan and execute travel-time that is in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Ability to perform DOT compliant vehicle inspections
  • Working knowledge of DOT 11, 14 and 70 hour drive/work rule
  • Working knowledge of trailer product placement in accordance with Federal Bridge laws
  • Must have a good driving record and current CDL, Class “A”
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs.
  • Ability to communicate to donor ministries and dispatch in a positive manners

Partner Information Manager – Virginia Beach, VA

Will provide support for Operation Blessing International’s (OBI) donor databases and be the primary liaison between OBI and the external vendors that house OBI’s databases. Responsible for generating all database and donor activity reports. Will supervise Partner Information staff who perform manual receipting, electronic fund transfers/credit card schedules, updates on partner records, and creation of new partner accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of business management practices and procedures
  • Track record in managing and motivating a team
  • Strong ability to act as liaison and establish effective working relationships
  • Systems-minded thinker with basic knowledge of databases
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with OBI staff and the public in a positive and diplomatic manner
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment with strong decision-making skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as an effective team member
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to a variety of working conditions
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
